If the temperature readings are inconsistent, it may be because the measurement results are inaccurate and the measurement time is up to 30 seconds or more when measured directly after powering up. Be sure to start measuring when you see "Lo℉".

To replace the battery, gently pull the battery cover off by hand at the top of the thermometer, and place a fresh 1.55 V button cell battery of SR41, UCC392, or LR41 or equivalent into the battery compartment with the positive terminal on. To switch between °C and °F, press and hold the on/off button for about 3 seconds during off status, and when you hear the "Bi", immediately press the button again.
