To get the most accurate temperature reading every time, always wait for three flashing lines on the display before every reading, and wait at least 15 minutes after eating, drinking, exercising or bathing. For underarm readings, wipe the armpit with a dry towel and make sure no clothes are in the way. For oral readings, always place the probe tip of the thermometer in your mouth's heat pocket - under the tongue at the back of the mouth. For rectal readings, consider applying a bit of petroleum jelly on the QuickCare tip to make it easier to insert, and never insert the probe past the metal tip.
